New feature release: Make recorded phone calls using the Windows 10 desktop version of the 151-151 ProV2 App.
The 151-151 suite of software is designed to make keeping track of exactly what was said in meetings and conversations easier and more accurate.
Meetings and conversations can take place in person or over a phone line and the 151-151 web console app has always provided a function to allow you to make recorded telephone calls. However, customer feedback told us that, due to limitations with the browser user interface, it was not always quite as easy to make notes and create tags as it is when making a sound recording using the 151-151 Windows App.
Now, version 2.2.1 of the 151-151 Windows 10 desktop app allows you to make a recorded telephone call directly from your Windows PC. And while the call is being recorded, you can use the same Windows User Interface to effortlessly make notes or create the marker tags which highlight the important things discussed during the call.
The call recording feature added to the Windows app works in a very similar way to the existing feature in the web version of 151-151. To make a call, the user will enter the number they want to call and then select from a pre-verified list of numbers from which they would like to instigate the call.
When the user clicks to start the call, the app will communicate with a cloud based telephone exchange to first call the “Call From” number. When that call is answered, the exchange will then make another call to the “Call To” number.
When the “Call To” number answers, both calls will be connected (I.E. like a min conference call) and the subsequent conversation will be recorded in the background. During the call, you can make notes or create tags and when the call finishes, the recorded sound file of your conversation will automatically be downloaded to your Windows PC.
Having created a recording record of your telephone call, you can then use all the other features of the 151-151 Windows App (E.G. schedule transcripts or generate meeting minutes) to create a 100% accurate record of any discussion, conclusions or decisions made during the call.
