New : Dual track transcriptions, for auto/machine transcripts

New feature release: Dual track transcriptions, for auto/machine transcripts

In version 2.1.235 of the 151-151 ProV2 App for Windows Desktop, a new option was added which allowed users to record the sound from both the Microphone and/or the Speakers of their PC/laptop.

Where the sound is recorded from both the Speakers and the Microphone it is stored on different “tracks” of the stereo .MP3 sound file.

To take advantage of the new stereo recording option, version 2.1.262 now has an option which allows the user to transcribe each of the stereo tracks separately. The new option also allows the user to add a text string which indicates the source of the sound.

For example …… where sound files have been recorded using the “Microphone & Speakers” device option in the Windows app (and all 151-151 telephone recordings) the 151-151 desktop app will now allow you to associate a “Speakers’ Name” string with each track of the stereo sound file.

This string of characters (e.g. the name of the person speaking) will be added to the text of the machine generated transcript, making it much easier to follow the transcribed conversation.
